2nd Annual Car Wash for a Cure

- Thank you to all the car washes across Canada who participated in the 2nd Annual Car Wash for a Cure on April 5 and 6, 2024. This event was
organized by the Canadian Carwash Association, in partnership with the Canadian Spinal Research Organization.

The Canadian Carwash Association, partnered with the Canadian Spinal Research Organization, to kick off the 2nd Annual Car Wash for a Cure, a Canada-wide initiative that encourages car washes to fundraise over two days to benefit spinal cord research.
On April 5 and April 6, 2024, car washes from coast to coast took part in this initiative through a variety of activities that promote community building, philanthropy and contributing to a great cause. Activities included:
- Car wash owner/operators asking their customers to donate spare change;
- Donating a portion of their sales over the two days;
- Inviting their community leaders to participate and promote to their constituents;
- Creating a fun/interactive activity that engages their customers in the fundraiser;
- Promoting their involvement via social media;
- Raising awareness of the Canadian Spinal Research Organization.
Did you know that almost half of Spinal Cord Injuries are caused by motor vehicle crashes? Road safety is a major priority to both the CCA and CSRO.
The Canadian Carwash Association (CCA) is the only association dedicated to the Canadian Carwash industry! They are dedicated to sharing knowledge and best practices, as well as to promoting the benefits of professional car washing in Canada. CCA provides meaningful networking opportunities designed to improve the performance and services offered by professional carwashes and to connect members with one another. The car wash sector in Canada is thriving and employs thousands of people. Approximately $1.3 Billion in size, the sector is expected to grow by 1.5% in 2023. www.canadiancarwash.caThe Canadian Spinal Research Organization (CSRO) is dedicated to the funding of targeted research to maximize functional recovery and cure paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. We envision a world without paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. Through our many fundraising initiatives, and strategic partnerships the CSRO/ASRO has raised nearly 30 million dollars for spinal cure research since 1984. 1st Annual Car Wash for a Cure
April 4, 2023 - Thank you to all the car washes across Canada who participated in the 1st Annual Car Wash for a Cure on March 31 and April 1. This event was organized by the Canadian Carwash Association, in partnership with the Canadian Spinal Research Organization. We will be announcing the total amount raised shortly and the winner of the pizza party for one lucky participating car wash.
